ZSE bearish with a 0.35% drop as big caps trade negatively

The ZSE retreated by 0.35% with gains in Innscor, BAT and Zimre failing to prop up the bourse against losses for blue-chips Old Mutual and Econet.
 
At the close of trade, market turnover reached ZWL$15,124,090.90 with 219 trades amounting to 7,803,000.00 shares traded by volume. The All Share ended the week on a lower note, retreating by 0.81 points (-0.35%) to close at 232.04, the Industrials Index withdrew by a similar margin to the All Share index falling by 0.35% to close below 800 at 772.94. The Top 10 index fell by 0.59% due to losses in heavy weights and the Mining index was static at 317.75.
 
Tobacco manufacturing conglomerate BAT closed at $50.0000 a rise of $7.7500, Innscor Africa Limited buoyed by its AGM held yesterday evening gained $0.5077 closing at $3.0612 with Simbisa Brands adding $0.1893 to close at $1.4675.
 
Seed-CO Limited Zimbabwe fell by $0.0879 to $2.1342 and Econet Wireless retreated by $0.0692 closing at $1.8958.
 
Dual listed stocks traded in the red with PPC closing at $4.2475(US $0.28) unchanged, SeedCo International retreating by $0.1181 to close at $2.6840 and Old Mutual Limited falling by $4.9057 to close at $25.0500.
 
Foreign buys were ZWL$ 1,460,268.25 and foreign sales were ZWL$ 1,356,300.00 with a net foreign buys at ZWL$ 103,968.25.
