In an effort to offer more advanced online services to its customers in Zimbabwe, Emirates has introduced a new payment solution that will enable travellers to pay for their flights on www.emirates.com/zw using locally issued credit or debit cards.

"The new on-line feature will make it much easier for travellers to book their itinerary and pay for their flights from the comfort of their home or office," said Emirates Acting Country Manager for Zimbabwe, Khalid Hassan. "It is expected to be extremely appealing to our wide and varied customer base."

In addition to purchasing Emirates' flights through Emirates' website, passengers can now pay their tickets at any Emirates office in Wakefield Road, Avondale, Harare, using credit or debit cards mandated for use locally.  Payment can also be made via www.emirates.com with selected international credit cards.

"Choice has always been, and remains, an important part of the Emirates online proposition. We are wholly committed to providing our customers with the greatest level of customer service and offering a payment solution using local credit or debit cards is yet another aspect of our well rounded service offering." added Mr Hassan.

Emirates flies daily to Harare from Dubai, via Lusaka, using a 777-300ER aircraft.

Some of the other services available through the website include: online check-in, the ability to pre-select your seat, UAE visa application and special meal requests for specific dietary requirements. Customers are also able to book hotels, rent a car and even subscribe for mobile flight status alerts and see what is screening on Emirates' inflight ice entertainment system. Customers also have the ability to check their baggage allowance, including the estimated cost calculator for excess baggage, and search for low-cost airline connections.

With a fast-growing fleet of 197 aircraft, Emirates is the largest operator of A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft in the world. The airline currently flies to 129 destinations in 75 countries. Flights to Algeria and Haneda will join the Emirates' network in the coming months.
